the reception
We wanted our wedding to be magical...a perfect wedding
for this special moment in our lives. We already had some hotels in mind for the
wedding dinner and that certainly made it easier to narrow down our choices to
just one. We spent several days emailing the hotel reps. and comparing prices
and packages.
In the end...
We decided on Renaissance Hotel. Khian Leng
liked the decor of the hotel, while I had fallen in love with the long, winding
staircase that leads to the Grand Ballroom. On a more practical note, the
ballroom was available on the date we wanted and the package they offered is
pretty flexible.
Meanwhile, the traditional Chinese tea
ceremony will be held on the morning of 30 November at both our parents' houses.
We will be providing maps and directions to all
three venues nearer to the date of our wedding for outstation family members and
friends (we wouldn't want you to get lost...).
Sep '02: Update!
Food tasting at Renaissance. Imagine having a nine course dinner for
lunch....*grin*.
